Do Indian Tourists need a visa to visit Bhutan? No, Indian tourists don’t need a visa to travel to Bhutan but a travel permit is a must. Indian nationals visiting with children who are below 18 years of age should have either passport or the Birth certificate.

What are the documents required to process the permit for Indian citizens? It is mandatory to have a passport to apply for the permit in advance, if a person doesn’t have his/her passport, then the Indian election card can be used to apply for a permit on arrival at the entry port. How to reach Bhutan? Entry to Bhutan can only be made either through air or by road. Travel by air – There are only two airlines flying out of Bhutan viz Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines.
